Meet Mike
W. Michael "Mike" Weaver joined Litaker Insurance as Commercial Lines Account Manager in 2022. In his role, he is a problem solver who communicates complex information in a simple and understandable way, who is efficient in systems and processes, and who provides tailored solutions to meet his clients' needs.
Mike learned about insurance over the dinner table with his father, who worked in the industry for over 40 years. While he swore he wouldn't follow in his footsteps, he decided it was an area of interest after he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management. Prior to joining the Litaker Insurance team, Mike spent the past 20 years evolving and learning in the industry. He worked for 10 years in insurance production before taking on more account management and business leadership roles. He also holds a Certified Builders Insurance Agent (CBIA) designation.
Mike is originally from Marlton, New Jersey, and spent his early years in Chicago and Pittsburgh. He's lived in Charlotte for the past 40 years. Outside of work, Mike enjoys classic vehicles (including his 1951 Ford F-1), collecting coins, playing golf, traveling to the mountains, coffee (he has a barista bar at home), and spending time with his family (spouse Melissa, adult kids Wesley and Alex, young daughter Abigail, and dogs Chewie and Leia). He is an active member of the Central Church of God.
